I'm MOVING!!

Well, not actually moving. But I am getting a new home for my blog, and soon will have a new website as well!

It has been a HUGE couple of weeks for my little photography business! I had a 2 day workshop with a super talented and adorable photographer (and friend!), Kacey Luvi. It was an exhausting 2 days- full of new techniques, fun shoots, lots of editing and countless business advice. As I left her house, my head was spinning with ideas and excitement for the future of One Twelve Photography. My heart's desire is that my business would continue to grow into whatever God would have it become, and that I would honor Him in whatever changes I make.

One of the biggest changes will be my name. Although the name OneTwelve does have special meaning to me (it's the date of the best day of my life- my wedding anniversary), I really want to simplify and make it a little more personal. So, I've decided to go with Kayce Smith Photography. Not quite as imaginative, I know, but I'm hopeful that it will make things much simpler and cleaner. God knows that I need a LOT of help as I'm learning about starting a business, and I want to keep it as uncomplicated as possible! Ha!

That said, I have also launched a new blog. Check it out here and please become a follower! I am staying with blogger for now, but am SO excited to open a new "official" website in the beginning of 2011! I can't wait to offer clients much more professionalism!

I am also excited to start offering a wide range of products as well! From prints, to albums, to canvases, it will be a fun journey. While it's been convenient to let clients choose their own printer, it doesn't allow them to get "the most for their money" so to speak. I'll soon be offering professional, high-resolution prints that will really make such a difference in the most important part of a session- the photos! I will still offer a cd of digital proofs with every session, so that you will have the opportunity to post your photos all over facebook, twitter, and blogs. Trust me, I know how important being able to post photos on facebook is!

Thanks so much to all who have been so faithful in following this blog and starting this amazing new journey with me. I am still amazed at the huge changes my little business has experienced just in a few months, and am SO excited to see where God will take me in the future!
